Dr Nerys Matthews is one of the Principal Dentists at Marple Dental Practice.  She graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2002 before moving to Leeds to complete vocational training.  Nerys then worked and trained in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Pinderfields General Hospital to increase her experience in Oral Surgery. Nerys has since returned to general practice and has undergone further study in a range of dental fields, including Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery,  gaining the MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons and DPDS from Bristol University.

Nerys has been registered with the General Dental Council since 2002.  She is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Dental Association.

Nerys likes all aspects of dentistry.  In particular enjoying the variety that General Practice offers.

In her spare time Nerys enjoys skiing, climbing, and mountain biking.
